Product Description

This is a new cartridge style used on all Sloan Flushmate Series EXCEPT for the 200 Series.

This Sloan Flushmate cartridge threads into the pressure vessel. When you press the flush handle on the toilet, the linkage rod depresses the cartridge. When the cartridge is depressed, it starts the flush cycle by letting the pressurized water out of the vessel and into the toilet bowl.

There is not much I can say about this product. It was exactly what we needed to repair our Sloan Flushmaster pressure flush tank. I purchased the cartridge removal/installation tool that Amazon recommended as well. The product arrived in just a few days and I was able to replace the cartridge within minutes. The old cartridge was quite tight so it took a little muscle to break it loose. I followed the installation instructions, which were printed on the exterior of the plastic bag that holds the replacement cartridge.

Be sure to check model numbers carefully before ordering a replacement cartridge for your Flushmaster pressure tank. There are different model tanks and therefore there are different cartridges for the different tanks. I am very happy with my purchase of this cartridge. The original (factory installed) cartridge lasted for about 6 or 7 years so I have high hopes that I will not have to worry about this again for another 7 years or so. Thanks, Amazon,... Read more

Weak Flush could be the "Flow Resticter"., December 8, 2011

I was going to order this item as it is a part that if it goes defective can cause a weak flush. Called the support line.... Look on the tank for the toll free number....

The fix was as simple as removing the "Flow Restriction devise".

Shut off water.... DUH....Flush toilet....Duh.... remove supply tube.... remove white plastic screen with a pair of thin needle nose pliers.... remove the flow restriction devise, it is a plastic thing with an o-ring on it.... replace the screen.... replace the supply tube.... turn on the water.... flush 3 times....

This may cure the problem on the tanks that have the flow restriction devise... they can go in 1 to 3 years.

It will not harm it without it.

Product is what you expect. Hint: Take of old cartridge by unscrewing the top part by removing screw at top then unscrewing the white part that moves up and down.
Then use some pliers to screw the device off.

I had some trouble the first time I did this since part is snug in place and can be hard to remove due to corrosion. I found that adjustable pliers work best. The device they sell to remove this is made of plastic and can break.
